On the weekend before the moving truck came, good friends hosted a farewell come & go party which was an awesome chance to catch up and say goodbye to many friends. Thanks to those who planed and executed such a fun afternoon.During those last weeks we continued to sort and pack numerous boxes, caught up with friends and had last minute appointments. We have gone from this
to this

We moved our trailer to Sauble Falls Provincial Park on the Wednesday before the movers came. The first night it was minus 4 degrees and it poured rain for 3 days of the 5 days we were there. What a way to start our trailer adventuring. Baptism by rain. We stayed warm & that is what counts in camping for me.

On April 26th the moving truck picked up our ‘stuff ‘and it started it’s journey to Nanaimo BC. Rumour has it that it will be delivered tomorrow. Now even our ‘stuff’ will have seen our new place before us.
It struck me as we pulled out of Sauble Falls Provincial Park that we no longer have a home in Port Elgin and that we are on our way home to BC. That was a very surreal realization. We spent 5 days in Orilla with my brother in law and sister in law. It was a time of working on the trailer (Peter and Don), a blue Jay game (All 4 of us), computer work (me) and trying to regroup from the last several months. As of today we’re officially on our way home. I have such mixed emotions. It is hard to leave everyone and everything you have known for the last 38 years. On the other side we are heading on a new adventure to a beautiful part of Canada. Tonight we are staying at a Harvest Host camping spot. We are roughing it, sort of. No hook ups but we have battery powered lights, a propane stove & an on board bathroom. We are safe, fed and warm. What more can you ask for.
Stay tuned as we work our way across our great country of Canada. Tomorrow night Pancake Bay Provincial Part on the shores of Lake Superior.
